Acquitting Your Screen Business Funding

Successful applicants to Screen Business will be required to enter into a contract with us. In this contract we'll specify what you'll need to deliver to us to access your payments.

Contracting and Payment Timelines

If your application for Global Connections is approved, your Agreement will be issued within approximately 10 business days. The first payment will be made within 14 business days of Film Victoria's receipt of a fully executed Agreement AND once all conditions have been satisfied. These conditions may include (but are not limited to) provision of an invoice and bank account details, and bringing any outstanding obligations to Film Victoria up to date. You should consult your Agreement for specific conditions.

Before you apply, you should consider your ability to cash-flow your travel if your application is successful, as Film Victoria is unable to expedite the contracting and payment process in the event that you are scheduled to travel before this process is complete

Repayment obligations

Repayment of the Global Connections Business Support together with a 10% premium is payable when principal photography commences on the next project of the producer (or any associated entity) to go into production. For digital media projects, the producer must repay the loan together with a 10% premium from the next project to be secured by the producer (or any associated entity) (including third party fees for services projects by publishers).

Reporting obligations

Successful applicants will be required to submit the following deliverables:

• Global Connections Acquittal Report (264KB) (within 30 days of return)
• Global Connections Progress Report (246KB) (six months after return)

If you engaged a Market Mentor, you will also be required to submit the following:

• Global Connections Mentee Report (243KB) (within 30 days of return)
• Global Connections Mentor Report (242KB) (within 30 days of return)

International Festivals (Previously International Profile)

Reporting Obligations

Festival attendees will be required to submit the following deliverables:

• International Festivals Acquittal Report (289KB) (within 30 days of return)
• International Festivals Professional Progress Report (245KB) (six months after return)
• Participation in an annual festival briefing

Online

Reporting Obligations

Successful applicants will be required to submit the following delivery:

• Screen Business Online Completion Report (420KB) (to be completed as a part of the deliverables outlined in your contract)

Repayment obligations 

Repayment of our investment together with a 10% premium is payable when principal photography commences on the producer's (or any associated entity's) next project to go into production.  In the case of digital media projects the premium will be payable when projects are commercialised.

Repayments may be spread across a number of projects, depending on the nature of the projects and the size of the production budgets.
