This professional development opportunity supports early-career screenwriters to attend an intensive workshop to develop a fiction feature film concept to outline or treatment.

Please note: We expect all applicants to have a full feature film draft at the ready. We’ll only need to see the first 10 pages with your initial application, but we’ll ask for the full script if you’re longlisted.


Key dates: 

• 13 January 2012 - Initial applications due
• NEW DATE 5 March 2012 - Longlisted applicants additional assessment materials due 
• 9 and 10 May 2012 - Shortlisted applicants interviewed
• 18 May 2012 - Successful applications notified
• 26 - 29 May 2012 - Catapult Concept Lab held (subject to change, we'll list any revisions on our website) 

In your initial application you’ll need to provide:

• A detailed two page concept for a fiction feature film
• Plus three additional one-line concepts for other fiction feature film ideas
• Plus the first 10 pages of your sample fiction feature script

If you’re longlisted you’ll need to provide:

• A full length fiction feature film draft.
