INDIGENOUS INITIATIVES
Production Placements
Under our Production Investment funding strand, projects with a budget of $750,000 or more are required to budget for a placement for an Indigenous practitioner.
The kinds of roles that can be undertaken are extremely varied - refer to our Production Roles and Departments Guide (287KB) for examples of screen industry roles that may come up.
We've established a register for Victorian Indigenous screen practitioners who'd like to be considered for a production placement on a project that has received our support. When production companies start looking for someone to fulfil a placement, we will use this register to provide names of Indigenous practitioners for their consideration.
How Indigenous practitioners can apply to join our register
If you'd like to be considered for inclusion on this register you can submit an application form at any time. However, before you do, you should discuss your application with Julianne Deeb, Industry Programs Officer.
If you have any questions about eligibility, how to submit an application or how the register will work, please contact our Industry Programs Officer, Julianne Deeb.
