Career Summary

Kaiya has been working as a Director, Writer and Actor for over a decade across Australia and the UK. Having recently completed her Masters in Professional Acting at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in the UK, receiving standout reviews for her work as Gabriella in the final theatre production of Caryl Churchill’s Mad Forest. ​ She is best known to audiences for her role as Sophie Ramsay on Neighbours, Australia’s longest running serial. Proving a firm favourite on the show, she was a regular face on Ramsay Street for four years. ​ At only 17 year’s of age, Kaiya turned her attention to directing and writing, reaching Tropfest 2013’s top 16 films and receiving support, Australia-wide, for her debut short film, Coping, which also won her the Best Female Actor Award. Her most recent short film Jolly Roger (2016) toured Australia with Flickerfest and was selected for Virgin Australia’s in-flight entertainment earlier this year. ​ Kaiya’s other screen credits include playing the key role of Matilda in Network Ten’s Party Tricks (2015), opposite Rodger Corser and Asher Keddie, lead guest roles in ABC Studio/ Hoodlum’s Harrow, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries (2013), The Doctor Blake Mysteries (2016) and several short films. ​ Now a Masters graduate, Kaiya is back working in Australia as an actor and director.
