Soldier turned filmmaker.
Hoss is a Director | D.O.P that specialises in story driven works. His military background has given him a humanistic approach to storytelling. He strives to find a common ground between the audience and his works. His visuals are stylised and they take on a personal view. In essence, his works are emotive and relatable.
Apart from his approach, Hoss comes from a generalist background. He has worked in both production houses and agencies in the past. Through them, he has created commercials and content for Australia's biggest brands. Some of his works have been featured in the Australian Cinematographer Magazine, Campaign Brief and a number of Academy / BAFTA qualifying festivals.
Hossein is a member of the Australian Academy Cinema Television Arts (AACTA) and the Australian Cinematography Society (ACS). He is looking to join the Penguin society (if it exists). The best way to approach him is to start a conversation about penguins.
