Applications are now open for the VFX Placements Program, providing career pathways into visual effects (VFX) for Victorian early career practitioners.
The VFX Placements Program is a collaboration between Creative Victoria and Film Victoria designed to ensure our visual effects sector has the skills to meet demand and keep talent local.
Over two years the pilot program will see 12 early-career VFX practitioners undertake a six-month paid placement at either Method Studios or Luma Pictures – two internationally renowned VFX studios that call Melbourne home.
Luma Pictures and Method Studios are both global companies whose Melbourne teams have worked on some of the world’s most recognised productions, including Game of Thrones, Captain Marvel, Black Panther and Aquaman.
Placements are linked with studio need, ensuring that artists work on live projects in real-time.
