PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR ONE LUCKY PRODUCER

Film Victoria is offering one early to mid-career Victorian producer the chance to work at LuckyChap Entertainment in their Los Angeles office.

The lucky recipient will work with the team over six months to develop and package independent films, strategise potential co-production and financing opportunities, write script coverage and draft pitch documents.

Through the placement, the recipient will gain insight into the structure and interplay of the Hollywood agencies, studios and production companies, learning how independent films are packaged within this system. They will also gain knowledge of independent film financing structures and strategies.

Founded by Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara LuckyChap has produced the award-winning feature film I, Tonya. In late 2017, the company announced a firstlook deal with Warner Bros. Television, where they sold Shattered Glass, an female-focused empowering revenge fantasy set in the world of Wall Street.

Producers interested in applying should read Film Victoria's Program Guidelines for eligibility requirements, then submit an online application by 5pm Monday 10 September 2018.
