Industry Updates  7 Mar 2016

Through the International Travel program, Film Victoria has supported forty representatives from the Victorian games industry to attend the world’s largest event for games professionals, the 2016 Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco.

The group will form part of a 56 member delegation to be led by senior Victorian government officials - the most significant representation in twenty years of Victorian government participation in GDC.

The delegation comprises talented practitioners from across the sector, including developers, designers, virtual reality practitioners, audio composers, sound specialists and marketers.

The attendees will participate in a series of targeted events and activities to promote Victorian-made games, technologies and services and connect with potential business partners and investors. The delegation will also encourage international participation at Melbourne International Games Week 2016

The 2016 GDC, running from 14-18 March, features over 400 lectures, panels, tutorials and round-table discussions and showcases the latest industry-leading game development tools, platforms and services.

Film Victoria's International Travel program supports practitioners and companies to undertake targeted travel to encourage partnerships, source sales and finance for projects, gain and share market intelligence and promote Victorian talent globally.
