New comedy series lands on screens

Film & TV  1 Dec 2016

The online series introduces us to Bruce, an ordinary bloke whose simple plan of following his soulmate to the new land by getting arrested backfires, trapping him in a violent prison camp at the edge of the world.

Writer and co-creator Warwick Holt said: "It's been an epic journey to get Bruce to the screen, arguably it makes the First Fleet's voyage look like a doddle.

"Film Victoria were there back when it was not much more than an idea, which they got behind, supporting us to develop a bible and take us through the Stitch sitcom initiative to get some polished scripts. Hopefully they don't mind that we've been somewhat liberal with historical fact, and have mostly just made stuff up. In hindsight, maybe we should have mentioned that."

Directed by Tony Rogers, co-written by Mat Blackwell and produced by Jason Byrne, Bruce is available to watch online now.
