Film Victoria works in partnership with film, television and games practitioners and industries to foster innovation and excellence in projects and people, encourage audience engagement, and promote our unique and diverse state as a filming destination.
We fund the development and production of feature films, television, online and games and provide incentives for production and post-production. We also fund industry placements, attachments, travel to international markets and festivals and provide support for screen culture and industry.
Funding programs are developed in consultation with industry to ensure support is relevant, progressive and responsive to industry’s needs.

Melbourne offers state-of-the-art production and post-production facilities including our flagship Docklands Studios, the centerpiece of our booming film and television industry. Located moments from downtown, the studios features five purpose-built sound stages, supported by production, costume and art department offices and storage, and construction workshops. Construction will soon begin on a sixth super sound stage that will increase the studios’ capacity by an enormous 60 per cent.

Victoria’s growing digital games sector has received a welcome boost with more support for new locally made games projects. Minister for Creative Industries Danny Pearson today announced $550,000 for ten games projects through Film Victoria’s Assigned Production Investment – Games program.
Congratulations to the teams at Wilding Productions, Happening Films and LateNite Films who were behind the three Victorian projects selected as finalists in the inaugural Unreal Engine Real-Time Short Film Challenge.
