Career Summary
Kate Ellis loves what she does. She recently returned from world Drama conferences in Iceland and Aotearoa (NZ) to talk about it.
As an Acting coach, she has worked on productions such as The Saddle Club, Mako: Island of Secrets, Judy and Punch and That’s Not Me. She facilitates programs for internationally recognised acting schools such as 16th Street and TAFTA and has private clients such as Lucy Fry, Parks Victoria, and Hamilton and Harry Potter cast members.
Kate has been contracted for six consecutive years by the DET and Drama Victoria to facilitate vital and joyous workshops for young people (Blended Arts program 2021-2023, Positive start Initiative 2022, Next Stage 2023-2025)
She teaches at Melbourne University; and has facilitated community programs for MPavilion, The Abbotsford Convent & for the Victorian Arts Education Festival. Her writing can be found in various publications.
