Game on: delegation to represent Victorian games industry at 2017 GDC

Thirty-seven representatives from the Victorian games industry have been supported through Film Victoria’s International Travel program to attend the 2017 Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco.

Part of an 80 member Victorian contingent, the group will participate in a series of targeted activities to promote Victorian-made games, technologies and services. 

The group will also attend The Australian Showcase,  hosted by the Game Developers’ Association of Australia (GDAA) and presented by Film Victoria. The Showcase highlights Australian talent to the broader international games industry and provides a crucial networking opportunity for Australian developers. 

As the world’s largest event for games professionals, GDC provides an conference also features the annual Independent Games Festival - the world’s largest showcase for independent games, and the Games Developers Choice Awards - the premier peer voted awards in the games industry.

The 2017 Game Developers Conference runs from 27 February to 3 March.
