Tony Briggs talks all things Birrarangga Film Festival

Film & TV  4 Apr 2019

"[Audiences get to see] personal stories that are absolutely driven by Indigenous people."

The very first Birrarangga Film Festival (BFF) is just around the corner, so we caught up with Artistic Director and screen creative, Tony Briggs (pictured), to hear all about it. He shares everything from BFFs origins to the significance of storytelling to First Nations people, and what you can expect to discover at the event.

With a jam-packed program offering over 40 feature and short films from Indigenous filmmakers across the globe – including the gripping opening night feature, Sgaawaay K'uuna (Edge of the Knife), to the closing night selection, Falls Around Her – as well as a series of panels, BFF promises to delight, surprise and inspire.

Watch our interview with Tony Briggs here and then browse the program and book your tickets for the festival, taking place from 26-29 April at ACMI.
