Watch this space – new film explores the greater universe

Events / Film & TV  7 Mar 2017

The film explores astrobiology - NASA’s groundbreaking new brand of science - and takes us on a journey from the surface of Mars and the icy moons of Jupiter and Saturn, to the extreme lava fields of Hawaii and toxic thermal vents deep beneath the Pacific Ocean.

Using real-life footage captured by the world's most powerful telescopes and projected on to the world's tallest screens, astrobiologists look for clues to how life takes hold, and how life might thrive on other planets.

The Search for Life in Space 3D was produced in association with Film Victoria and Swinburne University of Technology. It premieres exclusively at Melbourne’s IMAX theatre on Thursday 16 March.
